
Helene Grubisa, BSc, DDS, MSc, FRCD(C)
Dr. Grubisa has been practicing dentistry since 1998, and she began providing specialized orthodontic treatment in 2002. She has been practicing orthodontics in Oakville ever since.
Dr. Grubisa earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Physiology, as well as her Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from McGill University in Montreal. During dental school, she completed an externship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in 1997.
After dental school, Dr. Grubisa spent a year as an intern at the Toronto General Hospital before being accepted to into Graduate School to study Orthodontics at the University of Alberta. She obtained her Masters of Science degree in Edmonton, and also holds a fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Orthodontics.
Dr. Grubisa has taught at the Graduate Orthodontic level at both the University of Alberta and the University of Toronto since completing her Orthodontic training. She is currently Course Coordinator and lecturer in Practice Management in the University of Toronto’s Graduate Orthodontics Program.
In order to stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Grubisa maintains active memberships in numerous professional organizations such as the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the Ontario Association of Orthodontists, the Ontario Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. In order to give back to the profession, Dr Grubisa serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists as the representative of the province of Ontario.
Dr. Grubisa’s family’s roots are in France, and as such is fluent in both French and English.
In her time away from the office, Dr. Grubisa enjoys spending time with her loving family, including husband Eric and son Christian. Cooking and wine are passions of Dr. Grubisa’s, and her French heritage makes patisseries and French cooking her favourites. She and her husband also enjoy traveling and art (collecting it, not painting it!).
